Bee, the personal AI wearable maker owned by Amazon, announced two new devices on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The Bee Frontier is the next generation of its existing gadget, which can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing. The Bee Eclipse is a credit-card-sized unit that attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone. They are the company's first new products since Amazon acquired it.

The Frontier costs $74.99 and the Eclipse $99.99, undercutting rival note-taking hardware such as the Plaud Note at $159, the Note Pro at $189 and the Pocket at $129. The Frontier comes in Onyx, Lavender and Sage, while the Eclipse will be sold in Silver, Midnight, Honey and Blush. The Frontier is on sale now through Amazon, with the Eclipse due to follow shortly.

Turning conversations into tasks

As with the original Bee, the devices capture daily conversations and use AI to convert them into summaries, insights and to-do items. If friends agree on a meeting time, for example, Bee can note the details and generate a calendar invite. The company also pitches the hardware for recording lecture notes or keeping track of a care plan discussed with a doctor.

Every Bee device includes free conversation summaries and 14 days of memory. A Bee Pro subscription at $11.99 a month adds unlimited summaries, integrations with Amazon.com, Alexa+ and third-party apps, plus suggested tasks, daily memories, a personal chat assistant and conversation templates. Links to Gmail, Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook let Bee draft emails and schedule meetings, and Apple HealthKit data can be folded into its insights.

Privacy and hardware

According to the company, raw audio is never stored: it is processed in real time and then discarded. Transcripts are encrypted with keys generated and held by the user's device, so nobody, Amazon staff included, can read them unless the user deliberately shares them. An optional Alexa link lets Echo speakers use Voice ID to recognize the owner and record conversations, and Amazon says transcripts and summaries can be deleted at any time.

Both devices have a single power button and an indicator light that shows when a conversation is being summarized. The Frontier adds IP67 water resistance, up to seven days of battery life, USB-C charging and dual noise-filtering microphones. Bee has also redesigned its mobile app and launched a desktop app.

The launch shows Amazon tying its shopping platform and Alexa+ assistant to always-listening AI wearables. With such devices drawing scrutiny over privacy, how far Bee's encryption promises reassure buyers may shape whether the low prices translate into wide adoption.
