Accounts and personal data: No sign-up; we do not collect names, emails or similar data.
Country detection: To rank news for your country we use the country code our host (Vercel) derives from your IP address. We do not store your IP address. Your chosen country and language are kept in browser cookies (am_ulke, am_dil).
Read-aloud: Read-aloud runs entirely in your browser's built-in speech engine on your device; text is not sent to us or any third party.
Advertising: AIHere shows Google AdSense ads. Without your consent only non-personalised ads are requested; with consent, Google and its partners may use cookies for interest-based ads. Details: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform.
Videos: YouTube videos load via youtube-nocookie.com and only after you press play.
News content: Our stories are written with the help of AI from publicly available reporting, and their sources are listed at the end of each story. Photos come from the freely licensed Wikimedia Commons archive and are credited with their author and licence; AI-generated images are labelled as such.

Cookies and visitor statistics

We use two tools for visitor statistics. Google Analytics and personalised-ad cookies only run if you press “Accept” in the banner at the bottom of the page.

Vercel Web Analytics: Uses no cookies and needs no consent. It counts aggregate data such as page URL, referrer, country and device/browser type; it stores no identifier for you and visits cannot be linked across days. Provider: Vercel Inc. (USA).
Google Analytics 4 (with consent): Cookies: _ga and those starting with _ga_, up to 2 years. Purpose: measuring how many people read which pages. Google signals and ad personalisation are off. Provider: Google LLC (USA); data may be transferred abroad. If you decline, the Google Analytics script is never loaded.
Google AdSense: Without consent, Google Consent Mode v2 signals ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization as “denied” and only non-personalised ads are requested. With consent, Google ad cookies (e.g. __gads, __gpi, IDE) may be used for interest-based ads. AdSense is not loaded for ad-free subscribers.
Your choice: Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage: aih_consent) for 12 months, then you are asked again.
